Erev Shabbat
4 October

Our weekly Erev Shabbat activities start with our two "Den" services in their usual time slots as listed in our "Regular Activities" section.

Jewish Mindfulness Meditation
(17:15-18:15) Join our guest teacher Rabbi Danny Newman and the JMM team for a stress free, restful hour of contemplation, movement and learning to set you up for Shabbat. Together we will experience an hour of menuchah, Shabbat rest. Today's focus: "Cultivating Forgiveness as a Path to Freedom, Healing and At-One-Ment." Through study and guided meditation we will engage in the internal process of asking forgiveness from those we have hurt; offering forgiveness to ourselves for the ways we have neglected or hurt ourselves; and offering forgiveness to those against whom we may still be holding a grudge."

Erev Shabbat service
(18:30-19:30) Our regular Friday night service led by Rabbis Josh and Hannah.
The D'var Torah will be given by Rabbi Danny Newman, founder of HaMakom.

Remembrance Service at Cheshunt
(11:00) One of the customs that has survived the centuries is that of visiting the cemetery between the beginning of the month of Elul and Yom Kippur.  We know that sometimes it's difficult to find the right words and thoughts on such occasions and so we invite you to join Lynette, Head of Community Care and Life Cycle, for a Remembrance Service at Cheshunt Cemetery. There will also be time to visit graves.
