Volunteering Opportunities: Alyth's Monday Club
For over 40 years, Alyth’s Monday Club has offered 12-16 members, of all ages, faiths, cultures and abilities, the chance to meet with their friends. It is an invaluable opportunity for friends to socialise in a safe environment.
There is a weekly programme of activities provided by professional facilitators. This includes art and crafts; drama; singing and music; storytelling; film night; exercise and music. Our guests meet in a safe and friendly environment, experience joy and are valued as an integral part of something special.
We would like to welcome more volunteers to ensure its continuing success.
There are two main ways in which you can volunteer: - Assisting guests take part in the weekly club night; Mondays in term time (19:00-20:30) - Driving our guests to and from Alyth from Edgware, Whetstone and Friern Barnet. (A rota system for drivers and club volunteers means that you could commit to every week, once a fortnight, or once a month – whatever you can manage).
Please email alythadmin@alyth.org.uk for more information or if you are interested in helping.
Emergency Careline – 020 8457 8798 Please use this number if you need urgent pastoral support, for example in cases of hospitalization or bereavement. This number will be answered by a member of the Alyth professional team.
