The Long Awaited Fifth Alyth Weekend Away 2022 Friday 2 to Sunday 4 December
Taking place at the beautiful High Leigh Conference Centre in Hoddesdon, about an hour from Alyth by car. We have exclusive use of the site, with a full programme for adults and children, with a diverse range of activities, and plenty of time just to be together (or to watch the World Cup with new friends). The Weekend Away is the best opportunity to meet new Alyth friends; to feel ownership of your synagogue, your community and your Judaism; to learn, laugh and play together; to get to know other Alyth members, the staff team and clergy.
STOP PRESS: We are delighted that joining us on the Weekend Away will be Rabbi Professor Lawrence Hoffman, who will be with us on the Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Larry Hoffman is one of the world’s leading thinkers and teachers about Jewish prayer and communal life. He is the Professor Emeritus of Liturgy, Worship and Ritual at Hebrew Union College in New York, and author of books including Rethinking Synagogues: A New Vocabulary for Congregational Life; The Art of Public Prayer: Not for Clergy Only; and the My People’s Prayer Book series.
We recognise that household budgets may be stretched this winter. Please do not allow finances to be a reason not to attend the Weekend Away! If you are unable to be with us for the whole weekend, then you can come for part of the weekend. Contact sam@alyth.org.uk for more information or to book your place or visit www.alyth.org.uk/weekendaway2022.
