Rabbi Josh on Sabbatical As part of the rhythm of their work, clergy across our Movement are expected to take periods of sabbatical. At Alyth, we ask that our clergy take this as three months every three years, which ensures that they come to their work restored, while also reducing the impact on the life of the community. Rabbi Josh’s sabbatical became due in November 2020 when he reached 12 years at Alyth. This was delayed through 2020 and 2021 due to the demands of the pandemic. He is taking his sabbatical this year, in two tranches. His second period of sabbatical began at the end of June and will continue to the end of August. We wish him well for this period of rest and study.
