Service of Induction for Cantor Tamara and Rabbi Elliott Friday 20 May, from 18:00
Please join us tomorrow, Friday 20 May, as we formally welcome Cantor Tamara and Rabbi Elliott into our community. The evening will begin with a gathering on the synagogue forecourt (weather allowing) at 18:00, followed by a slightly extended Erev Shabbat service which will include a special ritual of induction.
You do not need to let us know that you are coming, but we ask that you please be at Alyth by the start of the service at 18:30 if you possibly can. The service will end slightly later than usual to allow us to celebrate properly together.

Tikkun Leyl Shavuot: Kings, Queens and Emperors, from 18:30 Our evening of study begins with dinner from 18:30, before we study together. So that we know numbers for catering, please click the link below to let us know that you are coming. Our theme for this Jubilee weekend will be Kings, Queens and Emperors - looking together at stories of rulers in our tradition, and how we, as Jews, interact with the government of our country. Our Erev Shavuot service will begin with Havdalah at 22:25, followed by Ma'ariv, before a final subversive study session to take us over midnight.
Sunday 5 June: Heathboddedut - Early service and hitbodedut, 07:45 for an 8:00 start Welcome the morning with Shacharit and meditation practices on the Heath with Rabbi Elliott and our JMM team. Meet on the corner of Hampstead Way and Wellgarth Road.
Shavuot Chevruta Breakfast 09:15 Join us for breakfast, with Shavuot chevruta study for those who wish. Shavuot Morning Service 10:30 A special festival service for the whole Alyth community, with kids corner and Torah service break out. Followed by:
